March Meeting In the first part of the meeting, members who participated in the 2022 Round Robin quilt blocks will display and discuss their blocks. Each member made the same block in different fabrics, so everyone will be able to see the impact of color choices on the same block. Next, we will be planning for National Quilting Day, which is March 18, 2023. National Quilting Day began in 1992 on the third Saturday of the March to promote and celebrate the art of quilting. The group will be discussing the best way to share our love of quilting with the wider community; whether that be displaying a quilt outside your home or in a public space or sharing your quilting skills by teaching a simple project. Contact Lauren with your ideas or bring them to the meeting! Also in March, Judy will offer instructions for 2 different Tool Caddies (choose 1) and a Crayon Rollup Bag •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• COMING UP April - Children's Quilts • A new BOM May - Sit N Sew June - BOM July - Instructions for making a Market Bag using Charm Squares August - BOM ~ introduce 2 new blocks (Judy will have several blocks from which to choose) September - Sewing Machine Bag (hangs from sewing machine to collect "trash", great for workshops, classes) •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• |
