First quilts, last quilts.  Remember when you first started to quilt?  Did you make a bed quilt or something else?  What color was your first quilt?  Did you use a pattern or make your own?  Do you still have the first quilt?  Has your quilting changed over the years?  Now is the time to bring in the first quilt you ever made or worked on to show to the guild.  At the same time bring a recently made quilt. It should be fun to see how each member has evolved over the years with their quilt making.

Martha provided a wonderful program by discussing her journey through quilting and showing us some of her projects.  Thank you, Martha.  It was a very interesting evening.

We will show how to use the jelly roll in some fast and fun ways.  A jelly roll quilt makes a great throw size, crib size, wall quilt or community quilt.  If you already have a jelly roll (40 or 42 WOF 2.5" strips) you may bring it and your machine, extension cord etc. or jelly rolls will be available for purchase at a $4 discount at Brookside Quiltworks quilt shop during September or at the event.  Please bring your walking feet/ dual feet if you plan to sew at the event.  We will use 30 strips from the jelly roll and give you some ideas of how to use the remaining strips.
You bring the jelly roll we'll bring the coffee.....

December 13, 2022 - Holiday party, note 6 PM start
Join us for our traditional fun-filled Guild Holiday Party and meal prepared by the Holiday Committee. Let us remember those less fortunate and bring an unwrapped gift for a child (infant to 12) to be donated to charity. Members who have a special cookie recipe that they traditionally make this time of year are encouraged to bring some in for dessert.  This is a paperless event so don't forget to bring your own place setting, silverware, napkin etc. and show off a placemat you love.
